Pearl M. Warble dies at 101

Pearl M. Warble, age 101, of Chesterton, passed away Monday May 25, 2009 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso, IN.

She was born on April 26, 1908 in Joliet, Ill., the daughter of Frederick and Abbie (Hartong) Mellon, both of whom preceded her in death.

On May 19, 1924 in Valparaiso, she married Enos Warble who preceded her in death in 1964.

She is survived by daughters; Joyce (Richard) Dominoski of Chesterton, and Joan Warble of Chesterton; grandchildren, Cynthia (Scott) Keller, Christine (Donald) Frew and Catherine Roles, great-grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin and Henry Keller and Olivia and Jacob Roles.

She was also preceded in death by a son, and a sister June Thedens.

Pearl worked as a clerk for Harvey’s and Ben Franklin stores. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

A mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton. Interment will be in St. Patrick Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27 from 4 - 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. The family requests donations to VNA Horton Hospice Center or The Share Foundation.
