Olive Marie Babcock dies at 87

Olive Marie Babcock, age 87 of Loveland, Ohio, formerly of Chesterton, passed away on Monday April 13, 2009 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Olive was born on December 30, 1921 in Chesterton, the daughter of George and Effie (Gartman) Edmond, both of whom preceded her in death.

On September 6, 1952 in Chesterton she married Leonard V. Babcock, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by sons; Gary Babcock and Craig (Teresa) Babcock both of Loveland, Ohio; a sister, Grace Soliday of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Christopher, Patricia and Steven and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brother John Edmond.

Olive worked as a registered nurse in orthopedic practice.

Funeral services, Rev. Bob Nienhuis officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

A visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday April 16 at the funeral home. www.ee-fh.com
