Patricia Nitschke
Livingston, 86, of Chesterton, died December 28, 2020 after a long illness.
She was born July
2, 1934 in Oak Park, Ill., to William and Alice (O’Donnell) Nitschke.
She was a 1956
graduate of Rosary College (now Dominican University) in River Forest, Ill.,
and earned a Master of Arts in history from the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to moving to Chesterton in 2011 she was a longtime resident of
Delaware, Ohio, where she raised her family; volunteered in the community;
and enjoyed cooking, reading (especially history and mysteries), movies, and
visits to and with her daughters and their families.
She was predeceased
by her former husband, John Livingston, in 2002.
She is survived by
her daughters and sons-in-law Pamela and Julian Edward of Miami, Fla.,
Caroline and Edward Costello of Chesterton, Jeanne and William Williams of
Blue Point, N.Y., Megan and David Musgrave of Chesterton; daughter Amy
Livingston of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren William and Isaac Edward of
Miami, Fla., Deirdre Edward of Chicago, Ill., Margaret (John) Lake of
Martinez, Ga., Lydia Costello of Chicago, Ill., Francis Williams of
Levittown, Pa., Amy and Helen Williams of Blue Point, N.Y., Patrick Musgrave
of Ann Arbor, Mich., and John Musgrave of Chicago, Ill.; and great-grandson
John Frederick Lake, III, of Martinez, Ga.
A private burial
will be held at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Ill. Memorial
contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels (www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org),
where Patricia was a longtime volunteer.
