Memorial Service July 18 for Chris Fox

Back To Front Page

Chris Fox, 35, of Brownsburg, IN, was sent to be with God, his mother, Cynthia (Cindy) Jo Stewart Fox, and his brother, Matthew (Matt) A. Fox on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

Chris was born October 7, 1984, in Portsmouth, VA, the son of William E. Fox and Cynthia Jo Stewart Fox.

Chris graduated from Tri-West High School, Lizton, IN, in 2003. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then began his surveying career with PreCept Surveying. The past several years he worked as a Crew Chief for SJCA Engineering, doing land surveying. Chris enjoyed any excuse to be outside, especially those jobs on the water requiring the use of his kayak. According to his fellow co-workers, he had an “upbeat attitude towards life and work. . .his infectious smile and laughter were contagious for all who were around him.”

Chris is survived by his father, William (Bill) E. Fox, brother, William (Wil) A. Fox, love of his life, Staci N. Fox, children, Quinn (6 yrs. old), and twins Lucy and Griffin (4 yrs. old), mother-in-law, Joyce West of Chesterton, IN, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chris will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we are reassured he’s at peace now. Remember Chris as bigger than life, always smiling, ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, ready for adventure, and loving his family and life.

Gone too soon but not forgotten.

A living memorial service will be held on July 18, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., at the McCormick’s Creek State Park Inn. All family and friends are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the: Christopher R. Fox Children’s Trust Fund, PO Box 2681, 1070 S. Calumet Ave., Chesterton, IN, 46304.

Condolences may be sent to Chris’ dad at foxbil@gmail.com, or the Porter & St. Pierre Funeral Services website at www.porterfuneralhome.us.
