Linda Faye Perham passed away May 29, 2020 at the young age of 68.

She was born January 19, 1952 in Russellville, Alabama, to Corine (Willis) Wittenhagen and Wallace Byrd, who precede her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her sister Janet Jones, and brother Jasper “Bud’ Byrd.

She is survived by brother Ron Byrd of Phoenix, sister Carolyn (Gerald) Hayes of Griffith, sons David (Leighanne) of Mesa and Robert (Katie) of Chesterton. Four beloved granddaughters: Haleigh, Sara, Allison and Annabel. Also, an ex-husband that she could take or leave, most likely leave.

Linda preferred to be called Faye which she felt fit her more than the name Linda. She was a fiercely independent redheaded Irish woman who didn’t have an issue putting you in your place. She loved her family and friends with every fiber of her being. She was a tireless advocate for Military Veterans and Veterans rights. She felt fortunate to witness her beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series in her lifetime, knowing many did not. Being a single mother, she taught her sons by example, hard work and dedication to family. She loved being a grandmother and laughing at her sons as they tried to manage through the early stages of parenthood. Her fun-loving attitude and contagious laugh will never be heard again. If you have experienced it, you were lucky. Thanks for everything Mom, you will be missed.

With concerns about Covid-19 and its impact on travel, no service will be held at this time. We will schedule a memorial later in the year in the hope that all friends and family can attend.
