Judith Ann Melton, age 78, passed away on March 13, in New Port Richey, Florida.

She was a Porter County resident for 67 years prior to her retirement in Florida in 2008.

She was born on October 17, 1941, to Edward Ciulewicz and Genevieve Collins.

Judy was employed for many years as an accountant at Sears and also in data entry at Data Bank in Chesterton.

She was a member of St. Paulís Catholic Church in Valparaiso. She was a devoted daughter and care giver to her mother in her later years. Judy was a most kind and generous soul who made numerous friends both in Indiana and in Florida. If you knew Judy you could count on her remembering your birthday every year. When she moved to Florida she joined St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and participated in many ministries there. She will be greatly missed and mourned by many dear friends there.

She is survived by sisters Janie (Monte) Pedone and Helen Cristofori, both of Florida, nieces Marie Moore, Gina Partos, Chris Pedone, Diane (Robert) Parker, Karen Pedone, Stephanie Mann, Elizabeth Mitsakos, Kara Deperno, Alexis Sesto, Genevieve Cryderman, and nephew Tyler Cristofori. She also leaves behind numerous family members and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and Step Father and Mother. In 1961 Judy lost the joy of her life, her beloved son of 22 months, Mark Wayne Miller, in an automobile accident. She cherished her memories of Mark and the time she spent with him. She knew one day they would be together again.

Rest in peace dear sister, we will never forget our happy times together.

A memorial mass was held March 23, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas with Father George Varkey presiding.
