John Albright passes away at age 76

John Albright, 76, of Lafayette, IN, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at IU Health Hospital.

He was born January 1, 1944 in Sharon, PA. He graduated from Sharon High School before attending Ball State University where he obtained his Bachelorís Degree in Accounting in 1965. He began his career in finance with Heinold Hog Market and Harold Heinold Personal Interests. He then went on to earn his Real Estate Brokers License in 1972. He obtained his Real Estate Appraisers License in 1991 and became a full time Rural Property Appraiser. John was very active in the Episcopal Church and served as a vestry member at St. Francis Episcopal Church. He was also a very avid reader.

He is survived by his sons, Jon Pare Albright (wife Michelle), Valparaiso, IN, and Christopher James Albright, Ogden Dunes, IN, and daughters Courtney Kendall, Lafayette, IN and Heather Rudd, Chesterton, IN. He is also survived by siblings Patricia Schroeder (husband Ronald), Pendleton, IN, Harriet Reeves (husband Harold), Rock Hill, SC, Alan Albright (wife Debbie), Fishers, IN and Elizabeth Engelking (husband Donald), Sugar Land, TX. He is also survived by sister-in-law Carol Albright, South Bend, IN. John had five grandchildren: Logan Albright, Mackenzie Albright, Kaden Rudd, Ryker Rudd, and Courtney Albright. He had one great-grandchild, Karson Garst.

John is preceded in death by his parents, William and Harriet Albright from Muncie, IN, and brother, William Harry Albright from South Bend, IN.
