Houston F. Dalton passes away at age 95

Houston F. Dalton, age 95 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

He was born on April 26, 1925, in Pulaski, VA, to Heath and Lula (Neese) Dalton.

Houston is survived by his daughter, Linda G. Dalton; grandchildren, Kristin (Rod) Spearman, Karin (Craig Clark) Heywood, both of Highlands Ranch, CO; great-grandsons, Devon and Drew Heywood, Kyle and Scott Spearman; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 50 years, Irma (Worrell) Dalton; three brothers and one sister.

Houston was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the V.F.W. in Porter. He worked as a Carpenter for Carpenters Local Union # 1005 for 72 years. He was an avid golfer and a supporter of Chesterton sports. Houston enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and great-grandsons. His wit and wisdom will always be cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Private family services for Houston will be held and he will be laid to rest at Chesterton Cemetery. Arrangements made with Edmonds & Evans Funeral Homes, Chesterton, IN.
