Joe Robert Wall, age 81 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 16, 1938, in Clarksville, TN, to Hugh Burgess (Pete) Wall and Mary Elizabeth Bryant Wall, both of whom preceded him in death.

In 1985, he married the love of his life, Cindy Walstra Wall, who survives in Chesterton.

He is also survived by his loving children: Bobby (Annette) Wall of Tennessee, Joe (Ashley) Wall, II, of Valparaiso, Matthew Wall of Chesterton, Sheryl Osman of Michigan, and Kim (Karl) Whitehead of Tennessee; his adoring grandchildren: Tiffany, Teale, Robert, Richard, Teagan, and Cheyenne; his great-grandchildren: Kendra, Richie, Morgan, Madison, LeLe, Chenoa, Halona, Steven, Shawn, and Landon. Also surviving are his brothers: Bill Wall of Valparaiso, Pete Wall of South Carolina, Little Pete Wall of Florida, and Doug Wall of Tennessee; and by his many nieces and nephews.

Joe was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Ruby; his grandsons, Steven Osman and Shawn Osman; his brothers: Rick Wall and Terry Elrod; and by his sisters, Sheila Caruso and Vicky Rosser.

Joe was a proud Navy Veteran who loved his country. He also worked at the Levy Company for 40 years. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. Three of his granddaughters names started with the letter “T” and he lovingly referred to them as his “3 T’s.” Joe loved playing golf. He could be found at a golf course regardless of the weather. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 3 p.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
