Frank N. Spirson passes away at age 70

Frank N. Spirson, age 70 of Chesterton, IN passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1948, in Gary, IN, to Nicholas and Angeline Spiropoulos (Spirson).

Frank graduated from Chesterton High School class of 1967 and is a Vietnam War Veteran of the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was the owner of Frank’s Painting with his partner, Bill “Smitty” Smith (deceased) for 38 years.

Frank never knew a stranger and he was a man of perfection with his business and home. He would be outside vacuuming the blacktop with his shop vac, trimming the lawn with scissors and someone once said that he probably caught the leaves off the trees before they fell to the ground!

Frank is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Mary Ann Bono and her family Timmy (Cindi) Bono, Lindsey Bono, Kimberly (Darren) Weisman, Jimmy Spence and Ariel Sobel; niece Sheena (Damon) George and their children Nico, Liam, Drake, and Teah; his nephew Troy (Linda) Strange and his two lifelong buddies, Clete “Byrd” Putchaven and Dick “Packy” Jeffrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Spirson; sister, Christine Strange; nephew, Baby Mikey Strange and beloved dog, Ziggy.

Frank was a loving, kind and generous man and will truly be missed by all.

Per Frank’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements were handled by Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.
