Dennis Neuschwanger passed away in New Zealand on April 27, 2019, at the age of 69.

He is survived by a sister Sheryl and brother Marty, and his brother James.

Dennis was born April 13, 1950 in Savanna, IL. His family moved to Chesterton in 1957 where they lived in a house on Broadway. Dennis graduated from Chesterton High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from Indiana University in 1972 with a degree in Marketing.

"Denny" as known to his friends and family, headed for California where he eventually met up with Ted Boothe, who was attending USC. Dennis acquired his contractor's license while in California and was self employed as a specialist in epoxy coatings, waterproofing, and colored concrete. He also worked as a sales rep in Napa, which he enjoyed. He met his future wife, Trish, in Los Angeles. They were married in New Zealand in 1994 and moved there in 1995. When they first arrived they lived in Tauranga and eventually settled in Langholm.

He continued as a contractor in New Zealand and belonged to the local fishing club, which is like a social club. Many of his friends from the fishing club visited him while he was in the hospital. Dennis and Trish divorced in 2009 and remained friends. In his last years he enjoyed traveling around the islands. He will be missed.
