Sue Carroll Evans Vance passes away

Sue Carroll Evans Vance entered into life on November 29,1937. She entered into rest on June 29, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul (Jack) Winfred Evans at the young age of 5. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father Marion (Merriam) and Luis Cuelar.

She is survived by children, Susan (Leonard) (Vance) Shields, George Montgomery Vance, Patrick (Debby) Vance, Kimberly Vance Condon and Miranda Odle. She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers.

Sue was manager of The Purple Martin gas station in Michigan City for over 20 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women of Michigan City. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Salvation Army for many years. She retired from Karwick Alís Grocery Store.

She was a 1955 graduate of Chesterton High School and a dearly loved member of Road to Life Church. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and surrogate mother.

Sue opened her heart and home to all with unconditional love. Listed below are her delight, pride, and joy--her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Matthew Shields, Chloe and Hannah Vance, Kat Vance, Eric Bell, Madalyn (Tim) Coble, Patrick Vance, Jr., Laura Schram, Ceana Lisenko, Nikolai Lisenko, Landyn Perry, Abryanna Perry, Jeremy (Rachel) and Silas Schram, Roxanne Schram, Mary Condon, Noah Williams, Abigayle, Walter, and Neil Gondeck, Giovanni Ruiz, Tyler and Savannah Odle, and numerous people, young and old, whom she welcomed into her heart and family.
