Services Thursday for Jacqulyn 'Jackie' Klukas

Jacqulyn “Jackie” (nee Klippner) Klukas, 56 of Valparaiso, went to rest with our Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Beloved wife of Kurt Klukas and loving mother of Rachel and Faith Dooley.

Also survived by sisters, Sandy Miller, Cindy (Mike) Hochgesang, and Bonnie Ellis; brother, Butch Burgess; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Klippner; sisters, Velvet Grogan and Tammy Holbrook; and brother, Henry Klippner.

Jackie was retired from Munster Community Hospital Quality Management Department as a Registered Health Information Technician. She earned her RHIT certification from Indiana University. Before her illness, Jackie supported the 5th Street Club in Wheeler, Portage Recovery Association as a board member and previous treasurer, and presently The Hebron Fellowship. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chesterton. Jackie enjoyed making quilts, gardening, and canning with her best friend and neighbor Ceil.

Funeral service is on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church 106 E. 1100 N., Chesterton with Rev. Erich Fickel officiating. Christian Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso.
