Services Monday for Fred Peglow, 83

Fred Peglow, age 83, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Trail Creek Place, in Michigan City, IN.

He was born on July 15, 1934, in LaPorte, IN, to Donald and Ruth Peglow, who preceded him in death.

Fred was married on March 27, 1954, to Kay E. Stibbe in Michigan City, IN.

Fred is survived by his wife: Kay (Stibbe) Peglow; children: Stacy K. (Steve) Wiseman, CO and Shaelyn (Mike) Tym, IN; grandchildren: Ashli K. (Aaron) Robertus, CO, Michael (Lyndsey) Tym IX, MI, Olivia R. Tym, OR, Jessica H. Tym, IN, and Samuel Tym, IN; great-grandchild: Addyson K. Robertus, CO. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Kathryn (Peglow) Borman and Judi (Peglow) Bey; brother: Don Peglow.

Fred was an Army Veteran, serving two tours of duty in 1959 and 1963. He enjoyed many family trips and was called “Bumpa” by all of his grandchildren whom he dearly loved. Fred was the owner of Caribou Plastics in Chesterton, IN for 32 years. He was a graduate of LaPorte High School. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at the men’s homeless shelter.

The family would like to thank the staff of Trail Creek Place for their care and support.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 818 Franklin Street, Michigan City, IN.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Michigan City, IN, with Pastor Mark Reshan officiating.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Fred may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
