Back To Front Page

Patricia ”Pat” Ann (Crumpacker) Johnson was born on August 31, 1922, the third of five children born to Edgar Crumpacker and Gladys (Martin) Crumpacker.

Patricia passed peacefully at her Burns Harbor residence on March 13, 2018, to be reunited with her husband Emil and son Jeffrey (Pat).

She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Murel Kayes, Bart, June Kirk, and William Peter.

Patricia and Emil had three children and are survived by David and his children Stephanie (Thorsten) Finck (great granddaughter Nele) and Patrick; and Dale (Marcia) and their children Matthew and Andrew.

Patricia was raised in Northwest Indiana and settled in Burns Harbor after her marriage to Emil. After Emil’s death, Pat moved to her residence in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where she specialized in helping those in need as a companion and caregiver, returning to Burns Harbor in 2011 where she lived with her son David.

Pat was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church, the Eastern Star, and loved going to the thrift store.

To her family and friends, Pat will always be remembered for her upbeat can-do attitude, “Fake It Til You Make It,” and positive personality.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 23, with funeral services following at 10:30 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second St. in Chesterton.

Burial will be at Chesterton Cemetery immediately after the service.
