William A. Naylor,
91, died on April 8, 2018 in Valparaiso, IN.
He was born in 1927
in Hartford City, IN, to Arthur and Effie (Lownsberry) Naylor, who preceded
him in death.
Bill was married in
December 1949 to Alice DeWeese, who survives him.
He is also survived
by their children: Claire (Lawrence) Williams of Chesterton, IN; Sue Segally
of Valparaiso, IN; and Julie (Billy) Naylor-Nolas of Tallahassee, FL.;
grandchildren Tim, Brooke, Sophia and Melina; great-granddaughter Rowan.
Bill was an Army
Veteran from World War II, and afterward graduated with a Masterís Degree
from Ball State Teachers College, and taught in two different school systems
in Indiana before his retirement.
He was a member of
the Valparaiso United Methodist Church, Rotary International, the American
Legion, and the Indiana State Teachers Association. He enjoyed photography
and playing pinochle and euchre.
A memorial service
with lunch to follow will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at the
Valparaiso United Methodist Church, at 103 Franklin St., Valparaiso, IN.
