Frances Dowick Foley passes away

Frances Dowick Foley, died peacefully on January 28, 2018.

Frances, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, was born in Newton, Massachusetts on May 23, 1926 to Adam and Catherine Dowick.

Frances married her beloved Edward Joseph Foley, Jr., on November 11, 1944, and enjoyed 62 years of married life, until his passing in 2006.

Frances enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking and was famous for her brownies, which could be enjoyed at “The Lettuce Patch,” a family owned restaurant in Lake Worth, Florida. She was also a very accomplished painter and her many paintings adorn the homes of her family.

Frances will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donna Winterson (Stewart), Cathleen Smith (Kenneth), Mark Foley, Edward J. Foley, III, and Elizabeth Kerr (Robert). Her grandchildren, Laura Smith Carlson (Jeffery), Adam Smith, Max, Adam and Ellen Kerr, and Cynthia Cuchna. Her great-grandchildren, Riley and Brennan Hamilton. Her beloved sister, Irene Rumbo and her niece Cynthia Holt.

All services were held in Florida. At that time, the family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations to JDRF.org, Dunes Hospice, or a charity of the giver’s choice be considered.
