Robert J. Allshouse
Jr., 56 of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home overlooking
Pine Lake on Jan. 18, 2018. Although cancer won the year-long battle, Bob's
unwavering sense of humor and joyful spirit won the war.
He was born on Jan.
16, 1962, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Robert J. Allshouse, Sr. and Carol
Allshouse Michaels.
Bob was employed by
U.S. Steel as a Control Room Operator for 29 years. The loves of his life
were his wife Sandy, his family, his friends, and his living on the lake.
Arrangements are
being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple
Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends Sunday, January 21,
2018, from 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
A life celebration
will follow at the funeral home at 5:00 pm with Father William O'Toole
officiating. Interment will be held Monday Jan. 22, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at
the Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton, Indiana.
