Charles Joseph Wolf, age 54, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on July 11, 2017.

He was born on October 4, 1962, in Valparaiso, IN, to Edward and Catherine Wolf.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Kathy Wolf (Hartmann); his daughter, Lexi Wolf; brothers, Brian (Linda) and Tim; sisters, Judy (Jerry) Lazzara, Rosemary Dabrowski, Mary Jayne (Dave) Bush, and Lisa (Patrick) Henry; nephews and nieces, Caroline, Jason, Derek, Eric, Andrew, Nicole, Nicholas, and Malik.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Allen Dabrowski; his niece Alyssa Dabrowski, and special cousins, Tom (“TK”) Kemp, Chris (“Boots”) Kemp, and Steve (“Combo”) Francis.

Friends and family remember Chuck’s sharp wit and amazing ability to tell a story, especially while stoking a well-tended campfire. He had an endearing habit of giving people clever and perfectly appropriate nicknames. Wherever he went, Chuck engaged with people in a sincere and authentic way, so it was no wonder that he never met a stranger.

He had a passion for sports, as a player leading CHS in many basketball wins and as a die-hard fan of the Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame football. In fact, he loved all Chicago sports teams except one.

Chuck loved music, from Neil Young to Bob Dylan, from the “Jesus Christ Superstar” soundtrack to Coletrane, from rock to jazz and back again. He took great pride in his work. And no one could come close to beating him in Trivial Pursuit, especially the Andy Griffith version.

Most of all, Chuck dearly loved his wife and daughter who will miss him very much, as will so many people who had the privilege and joy of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a college fund for Lexi (make check to: College Choice Advisor 529, Alexandria J. Wolf/Beneficiary, Merrill Lynch, 707 East 80th Place, Suite 400, Merrillville, IN, 46410) or to the National Psoriasis Foundation www.Psoriasis.org

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 5:00 p.m., at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN, 46304.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, IN.

Online condolences to the family may be made at www.ee-fh.com.
