Craig D. Kennedy,
age 55, of Madisonville, TN, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, September 24,
2017, at Sweetwater Hospital.
He was a retired
owner-operator trucker. He was an active member of the Madisonville Fire
Department and also was active in the D.A.V. and V.F.W. and was a member of
the Gudger and Notchey Creek Fire Departments. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army and a member of Journey of Faith Worship Center. His hobbies included
coaching little league baseball and football. He also worked at the U.T.
Vols football games.
He was preceded in
death by parents, David J. and Carol J. Kennedy; brother, Scott A. Kennedy.
his girlfriend of two years, Amy Coft; daughters, Sylvia Marie Kennedy, of
Seymour, Crystal Grace Huffman, of Riceville, and Christie Deanna Hawkins,
of Crandall, GA; son, Garrett Dean Kennedy and his mother, Laura Kennedy, of
Madisonville; grandchildren, Matia Huffman, Aleighia Huffman, Carlee
Huffman, Magalean Huffman, Braylon Hawkins, Kyra Hawkins; sister and
brother-in-law, Delores and Carl Sanders, of Gainesville, GA; brothers,
David A. Kennedy, Pleasanton, CA, David J. Kennedy, Jr., Steve Kennedy,
Kenneth Kennedy, all of Ft. Wayne, IN; nieces, Brianne Riley, Shauna Planck,
Athena Kennedy; nephew, Michael Kennedy; great-niece, Lindsey Peck; cousins,
Phil and Kyleigh Clum and many more.
Funeral will be at
2:00 p.m. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Tim Heath officiating.
Interment in Sunset
Cemetery, with military honors by V.F.W. Post 5156, D.A.V. Chapter 93, and
American Legion Post 106.
The family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home,
