Services Saturday for Thomas Earl Isaacs, 80

Thomas Earl Isaacs, age 80 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.

He was born February 26, 1937, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Marion and Olive (Leonard) Isaacs.

Surviving are his two sons, Craig (Mary) Isaacs, of Valparaiso, and Scott (Karen) Isaacs, of Toms River, N.J., a sister Barbara Tull, of Florida, and his brother-in-law Larry Wesley, of Porter, IN. He was also the proud grandfather of Oliver, Emily and Matthew.

His parents and a sister, Phyllis Wesley, also preceded him in death.

Tom was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a plumber-pipefitter, a member of Local #210. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was a Hot Rod Enthusiast and loved hunting and fishing. An avid duck hunter, he, made yearly trips to Kansas. He also enjoyed gambling, taking cruises and loved his garden, sharing his produce with everyone.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2017, 4-8 p.m., at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kimball Cemetery, Valparaiso.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ducks Unlimited in Tomís name.
