Services Friday for Paulette Mentzer

Paulette Mentzer, age 64, of Porter, IN, passed away on February 26, 2017, in Valparaiso, IN.

She was born on June 23, 1952 in Valparaiso, IN to Robert and Mary (Ronco) Freeman.

Paulette is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Terry Mentzer of Porter, IN; daughters, Heather Brandenburg (fiancˇ, Russell Ippolito) of Portage, IN, and Amber Freeman-Pardo (Daniel Lynch) of Valparaiso, IN; brothers, Robert Freeman of Valparaiso, IN, and Hugh Freeman of Illinois; sisters, Rene Frederick of Valparaiso, IN, Michele (Roger) Hoover of Valparaiso, IN, and Lynette (John) Ward of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Tegan Stephens (Bee Danh) of Philadelphia, PA, Brittany (Josh) Kitchen of Portage, IN, Matthew Pardo of Miramar, CA, and Brandon Pardo of Valparaiso. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Freeman and Mary Clemons; brother, Eddie Freeman and sister and brother-in-law, Arlette and Ron Shepard.

Paulette enjoyed crafting and playing Bingo & Pogo games. She loved her family and adored her fur boys, Rosco and Sebastian.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 201,7 at 11:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN, with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Cremation will take place following services.
