Edith H. Link, age 93, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2017.

Edith was born on December 2, 1923, in Chesterton, Indiana, to John and Martha Neuliep.

On September 5, 1943, she married William R. Link. He preceded her in death along with her parents, two brothers Edward (wife Mildred) and Frederick.

Surviving are her three sisters: Ruth Hackett (Jim), Grace Diamond (Victor) and Carol Christman (Steve Stofcik); her sister-in-law, Norma Neuliep; her three children: Susan Link, Diana Snyder (Ronald), and William Link, Jr.; her grandchildren: Tammy Manering, Ben Link, and Jennifer Link; and by her great-grandchildren: Adam Manering, Mikalah Wood, and Jackson Link. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class from Jackson Township High School in 1942. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, oil painting by the numbers, playing board games, listening to music, especially religious hymns, and working on family genealogy. She also loved to take walks in the woods behind her house. She retired from Porter Memorial Hospital in 1993.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South Second Street, Chesterton, IN. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial services will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. We would like to express our gratitude to Unity Hospice, where we were treated with the utmost care and respect.

Memorial donations may be made to the VFW, which loans medical equipment to all who are in need. Veterans of Foreign Wars, 705 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN, 46383.
