On August 22, 2017,
Patricia Dolasky quietly left our world and joined her loved ones in heaven.
She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on June 3,
1941, in Gary, Indiana, to her parents Mildred and Leonard Renz, Patricia
was destined to live out a very full life in NW Indiana.
While riding a
train into Chicago she was noticed by a young man who said to his friend
‘that is the girl I am going to marry’. Patricia would go on to marry that
man, Thomas Dolasky on December 16, 1961. Together they would raise five
daughters: Laura (David) Schroeder, Cindy (Donald) Styers, Kitty (Donald)
Slawnikowski, Rebecca (Michael) Hogan, and Lendy (Glen) Fifield.
As a homemaker, she
raised her family and enjoyed reading, cards, sewing, ceramics and many
other crafts. Once her children were grown she spent most of her career
working at Dunes Optical in Michigan City.
preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Brandon Slawnikowski.
She is survived,
and will always be remembered by her husband of 55 years, five daughters,
twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There will be a
celebration of life at her daughter Rebecca Hogan’s house on Friday, August
25, from 4-8 p.m.
