Doyle Ray Moore passes away

Doyle "Ray" Moore passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

He was born on March 22,1935 in Cleveland, TN, to William and Ethel Moore, who preceded him in death.

He was married to C. Jean Moore, who proceeded him in death in 2002.

Ray served in the U.S. Air Force for four years before coming to NW Indiana. Ray retired from Midwest Steel after 40 years and returned to his beloved Tennessee.

Ray was known for his bright sense of humor and quick wit. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Cubs, Bears and the University of Tennessee.

He is survived by his children Pam (Kelly) Borgh, of Silver Springs, FL; Kim (Ron) Prichard, of Oak Ridge, TN; Marty (Kim) Moore, of Union Mills, IN; Tom (Lynanne) Moore, of Wanatah, IN; Chris (Robin) Moore, of Porter, IN; and Robert Moore; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A private memorial was held and Ray will be buried at the VA Cemetery in Knoxville, TN, at a later date.
