Raymond L. Schuler, aka “Rayzr”, “The Living Legend”, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

He was born in Chicago, IL, on July 14, 1948, to Nicholas and Dorothy Schuler.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Schuler of Chandler, AZ; children, Kimberly Parks of Chesterton, IN, Raymond (Lindsay) Schuler of Chicago, IL, Kimberley (Emil) Liebhaber of Des Plaines, IL, and son, William (Hailey) Ziegler of Sachse, TX; grandchildren, Kate, Caroline and Ryan Parks, Braydn and Logan Schuler, Delia, Socorra and Van Liebhaber, and baby girl Ziegler due in May; siblings, Mary (Charles) Dixon, Dorothy (John) Pfeiffer, Nicholas (Barbara) Schuler, Rita (Robert) Lobello, Edward (Joan) Schuler, and Ellen (Gary) Wiviott; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray grew up in Chicago and attended Saint Clement Grammar School and Holy Trinity High School. He worked as a grain trader at the Chicago Board of Trade and in clearing for Chicago Corp and UBS. Ray was enjoying retirement in Chandler, AZ, to the fullest and could be found poolside daily or at the pitch-n-putt with his buddies.

Ray loved hunting, fishing, camping, sailing and running. He was always the life of the party and was loved by everyone everywhere he went.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with remembrances at 1:30 p.m., at Sand Creek Country Club, 1001 Sand Creek Dr. S., Chesterton, IN.
