Services Wednesday for Robert Bob L. Williams

Robert “Bob” L. Williams, age 61 of Chesterton, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016.

He was born on September 3, 1954, in Akron, OH, to Robert M. Williams, who preceded him in death, and Majorie Isham of Indianapolis.

On May 30, 1973, at the First Christian Church of Chesterton, he married Kathi (Booker) Williams, who survives in Chesterton.

Bob is also survived by his children: Robert L. (Cynthia) Williams Jr. of Chesterton, Sherri R. Johnson of Porter and Douglas E. (Jaime) Williams of Lafayette; and by his grandchildren: Robert, Brooke and Natalie Williams, Jacob R. Johnson and Bryan Huseman, Kenzie and Alaric Williams. Also surviving are his siblings, Donald Williams of Maryland and Petinnbrell of West Terre Haute, IN.

He is also preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Christeson.

Bob graduated from Purdue University with an Associates in Electrical Engineering Technology. Bob was a Senior Testing Technician for Commonwealth Edison for many years. Bob’s favorite hobbies included woodworking, fishing, hunting, camping, mushroom hunting and gardening. He was also a member of the LDMA (Lost Dutchman Mining Association) and loved panning for gold.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 10 a.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, with Pastor Craig Forewalter officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
