Services Wednesday for Jonathan 'Jon' A. Arrizola

Jonathan “Jon” A. Arrizola, age 30 of Valparaiso, passed away on September 30, 2016.

He was born on March 25, 1986 in Arlington, TX, to Alejandro “Alex” and Sharon Arrizola, both surviving in Arlington, TX.

On June 13, 2009 in Waukegan, IL, he married Whitney Morisette, who survives in Valparaiso.

Jon is also survived by his sons, Mark and Ryan Arrizola of Valparaiso; his brothers, Steven (LeAnne) Arrizola of Arlington, TX, and Jeremy (JaNice) Arrizola of Arlington, TX; his niece, Jaden Arrizola; his nephew, Jacob Arrizola; his mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Dave Morisette of Chesterton; his brother-in-law, Parker Morisette of Chesterton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jon was a proud Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Peleliu. He loved being in the military and was a very proud soldier. He enjoyed spending his free time tinkering and welding in the garage. He had the best moral compass of anyone you would ever meet. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone. Jon was an all-around fun guy. He loved taking his sons to the park and especially loved their frequent trips to Buffalo Wild Wings and the theater.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South Second Street, Chesterton with Father James Meade officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery in Valparaiso.

Memorial donations may be given to Mark, Ryan, and Whitney.
