Services Thursday for George Edward Maney

George Edward Maney, age 75, passed away on September 25, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Karen (Fuller) Maney; daughter Nicole (Mark) Bolde, granddaughter Calleigh Grace Bolde; brother Richard Maney; sister Margaret Rhoda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Faye Maney; two brothers: Seth Amos Maney and Jack Maney; two sisters: Doris Stout and Jacqueline Goins.

George served in the United States Army. He belonged to the Masonic Dunes Lodge and the Orak Shrine, past president of Hobart Shrine Club. George retired from Lucent Technologies after 40 years of service and then retired from Tyco as a supervisor. He enjoyed golfing, transporting children for Shriners Hospital, his “buddy” Sammy the Yorkie, and most of all spending time with granddaughter Calleigh.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 4-8 p.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South Second Street, Chesterton, with a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, by Reverend Erik Grayvold.
