Robert 'Bob' Dinsmore passes away at age 60

Robert “Bob” Dinsmore, age 60 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016.

He was born on March 5, 1956, in Barstow, CA, to Thomas W. and Yoko (Tabata) Dinsmore.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Cassandra (Isaiah) Twiss of Chesterton, Christina Dinsmore of Valparaiso, Patricia Thomas of Chesterton; brothers, Thomas W. Dinsmore Jr., William Dinsmore; sister, Debbie Dinsmore; grandchildren, Pandora Swaney, Vincent Twiss, Mya Dinsmore, Adaina Hunt; and his best buddy, his dog Chunko.

Bob was a 1974 graduate of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY. He lived in Liberty Township and owned his own business, B. & D. Maintenance. He worked as an independent contractor and was experienced in electrical, plumbing, roofing, and construction. Bob was an avid fisherman. He always kept a fishing pole in his vehicle so that if the opportunity came up, he was ready to fish. Bob was always willing to help anyone in need no matter how big or small the favor was. He could fix anything, or invent what was needed to do the job. Bob was a devoted father and grandfather, his family was the joy of his life.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will take place at services to be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.
