Carol “Kim” Palmer,
age 81, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016.
She was born on
April 12, 1935 in Yonkers, NY, to William Frederick and Eleanor Isabel
(Clary) Harrison, Jr., who preceded her in death.
Kim is survived by
her husband, Marvin Palmer of Chesterton; daughters, Laurel Palmer of Wood
Dale, IL, Heather Palmer of Bolingbrook, IL; grandchild, Tien
Palmer-Campbell and close family friend, Kathy DeVault.
Kim married Marvin
Palmer in 1966. She taught children’s art while living in Virginia and also
worked as a children’s librarian at Fountaindale Public Library in
Bolingbrook, IL. Kim had a great sense of humor and her love for animals
knew no bounds. She also enjoyed photography and was also very creative.
A memorial
visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00
p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN, 46304.
Cremation will be handled by Heritage Crematory in Portage, IN.
