Amy Lee Tucker, formerly of Chesterton, passed away Friday March 11, 2016, at the age of 37.

Amy was born on February 8, 1979, at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.

Amy is survived by her parents, Sue and Cliff Bunch of Westville, and Jerry and Lisa Tucker of Portage; grandparents, Doris (Sis) Violanti of Chesterton, and Lawrence and Lillian Flowers of Lakeland, FL; sisters Dawn Molnar (Chris) of Chesterton, Julia Tucker, and Stefanie Nanney both of Portage; brother, Josh Tucker of Michigan City; nieces and nephews Ben, Bethany, Brett and Brianna Molnar all of Chesterton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her aunt, Diane (Violanti) Johnson, uncle, Billy Tucker and grandfathers, Joseph Violanti Sr. and Gene Tucker.

Amy was an amazing person who struggled her whole life from mental illness and addiction. That did not keep her from loving her family fiercely. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her nieces and nephews. They would enjoy taking silly pictures, eating raw cookie dough, coloring Easter eggs and making ginger bread houses. When the weather was nice, you could find them at the park, roller-blading or drawing on the driveway with chalk. Amy loved to draw, write poetry and song lyrics and listen to music.

Many lives were significantly impacted by Amy in her short time here on earth. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no services held.

Memorial donations can be made to Frontline Foundations. Giving can be done on their website http://www.frontlinefoundations.com or by mail: 1008 Broadway Chesterton, IN 46304.
