William P. Cummings service Friday in Arizona

William P. Cummings “Pap,” 85, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away at 2:58 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Bill was born January 4, 1930, in Pennsylvania to William and Mary Cummings.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia S. Cummings, who resides in Phoenix. Bill is also survived by his three children Karen (Donald) Bryant from Wickenburg, AZ, Colleen (Colin) McNamara from Valparaiso, IN, and William (Cindy) Cummings from Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Stephanie and John Hancock, Rogan and Nazarel McCauley, Adam and Stephanie McNamara, Jillian and Nathanael Nettrouer, Sean and Kaleigh McNamara, Nicole Cummings; and nine great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Samantha, Lucas, Layla, Ezekiel, Genevieve, Logan, Tinleigh, and Clara.

He is survived by his sister Margaret Creighton and sister-in-law Janet Cummings. He is preceded in death by William and Mary Cummings, Richard Cummings, and Mary Ziants.

Bill split his retired life between Arizona and New Mexico after serving our country as a United States Marine in Korea.

A memorial service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85024, on Friday, March 13, from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.
