William James Brady, Jr., age 91 of Chesterton, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Chesterton Manor.

He was born on July 18, 1924, in Blasedell, NY, to William J. Sr. and Elizabeth Wulf-Brady, both of whom preceded him in death.

On May 28, 1949, at Our Mother of Good Counsel in Blasedell, NY, he married Mary L. Brady, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Donald (Mickey) Brady of Michigan City, IN, his daughters: Kathleen (Darryl) Gould of Porter, IN, Karen (Darrell) French of Morgantown, IN, and Donna Marie (David) Ingham of Richmond, VA; his eight grandchildren; his seventeen great-grandchildren and by his brother and sister.

He is also preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Migas (Casper) and his brother, Charles Brady.

William proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. He worked at Bethlehem Steel as a Railroad Supervisor for thirty years. William was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Moose, VFW, and DAV. Wood working was one of his favorite past times because he loved making things for his family. He also loved fishing and going to the casino. The Brady family is grateful to the Waters of Duneland (Chesterton Manor).

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 638 North Calumet Road, with Father James Meade officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m.
