Urbahns passed away on December 12, 2015, at Porter Regional Hospital.
He was born May 9,
1951, to Mildred (Semento) and Elmer Urbahns who preceded him in death as
did his brother Joseph.
On December 20,
1986 he married Rogetta (Cole) who survives in Chesterton. He is also
survived by his daughter Sherrie (Roger) Bohannan of Demotte, grandchildren
Corey, David, Ryan and Kaylee of Demotte. Step-daughter Chelle Logan and
granddaughter Shay both of Chesterton. Surviving siblings include sisters
Theresa (Larry) Mitchell of Valparaiso, Sandy (Earl) Hollett of Valparaiso,
and brother Steven Urbahns of Westville, along with many nieces and nephews.
Last December Tom
retired from Emerson McGill where he was employed for 42 years. He also
served in the Navy. Tom had many interests which included watching movies,
doing yard work and supporting the ladies horseshoe team.
Visitation will be
held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 2 until 6 p.m. at White-Love
Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton.
A funeral service
will be held at 5 p.m. with Father Joseph Pawlowski officiating.
There will be a
Life Celebration at the American Legion following visitation. Burial service
will be private.
