Services Thursday for Rosemary F. Ameling

Rosemary F. Ameling, age 86 of Porter, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015, in Valparaiso.

She was born on February 7, 1928, in Michigan City, to George and Frances McAuliffe-Dabbert, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her four children: Lisa (late David) Zeese of Lafayette IN, Bill (Carol) Ameling of Shorewood MN, Mark Ameling of Porter, IN, and Bernadette Frazer of Indianapolis IN, as well as eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her two sisters, Jacqueline Lenburg of Grafton, WI and Felice DeMass of Portage, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, William G. Ameling in 2010, and her sister, Constance O’Shea. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and worked as a teacher for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 11 a.m., at St Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Rd., Chesterton with Father James Meade officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
