Linda F. Burbach,
age 68 of Chesterton, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the VNA
Hospice Center in Valparaiso.
She was born on
September 5, 1947, in Robbinsville, NC, to father Lee Gladden, who preceded
her in death, and her mother, Edith Gladden, who survives in Chesterton.
On April 8, 1967 in
Dickeyville, WI, she married Eugene Burbach, who survives in Chesterton.
They were married for 48 wonderful years.
Linda is also
survived by her children: Lynnette (Jarred) Hayford of Trafalgar, IN, Tammy
(Rick) England of Avon, IN, Jeanette (Mike) Borzych of Rolling Prairie, IN,
and Jeffrey (Marcela) Burbach of Clinton, IN; her six grandchildren: Jerrick
Suiter, Danielle Suiter, Riley England, Sarita Hayford, Ross England, and
Carter Borzych; as well as her two brothers Samuel (Billie) Gladden of
Hamilton, OH, and Donald (Melody) Gladden of Dekalb, IL.
She was a 1966
graduate of Chesterton High School. Linda was a Master Cosmetologist. She
also worked at Westchester Middle School as the Kitchen Supervisor and Head
Cook, having obtained several trainings and certifications for her title.
Linda took great pride in serving as an Inspector for the local election
polls. She enjoyed making and decorating cakes for all occasions for the
community and was well known for her baking skills. When her children were
young, Linda and Eugene were active in State Park Little League. She enjoyed
watching her children and grandchildren play sports and participate in band.
Linda was very proud of her family, especially her children and
will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 4 p.m., at White-Love
Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, IN.
The family will
receive friends on Saturday, from 2 p.m. until time of service, at the
condolences may be shared at
