Services Monday for Joan F. Warble age 74

Joan F. Warble of Chesterton, IN, went home on Sunday, June 7, 2015.

She was 74 years old. Born on December 6, 1940 in Michigan City, IN, the daughter of Enos and Pearl (Mellon) Warble.

Her parents and a brother Anthony preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister Joyce (Richard) Dominoski; nieces, Cynthia (Scott) Keller of Westville, IN, Christine (Donald) Frew of Fort Wayne, IN, and Catherine Roles of Chesterton, IN; great-niece, Olivia Roles and great-nephews, Matthew, Benjamin and Henry Keller and Jacob Roles.

She graduated from Chesterton High School. Retired from Porter Memorial Hospital after working 40 years as a nursing aide. Her last assignment was in ICU where she continued to do what she always did best, helping others. She was an avid bowler for many years at Westchester Lanes. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and one of the original members of the Table of Plenty ministry which she served until her illness.

Visitation will be held at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN, on Sunday, June 14, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, IN with Father James Meade officiating. Burial will be held at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to VNA Hospice Valparaiso, Share Foundation or the Westchester Food Pantry.
