Margaret Louise Villars, age 92 of Chesterton, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015.

She was born on October 25, 1922 in Gary, IN to Samuel and Mary Kanuek-Kepshire, both of whom preceded her in death.

On February 16, 1946 at St. Michaelís Church in Gary, she married Albert Villars, who preceded her in death after 62 years of marriage.

She is survived by her son, Richard Villars, her daughter, Sharon (Michael) Grubb; grandchildren: Kristin (Michael) McGrane of Oak Lawn, IL, Katrina (Donald) Fesko of Dyer, Karyn (Jim) Kicho of Munster, Keri (Sean) Katzenberger of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren: Madeline, Caitlin, Isabelle and Michael McGrane; Donald, Elizabeth and Michael Fesko; Owen and Andrew Kicho; Caroline, Luke, Vincent and Cora Katzenberger. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and by her loving friends and caregivers Mary and Christina Griffin.

She is preceded in death by her three beautiful angels who died at birth, her brothers: Samuel, Edward and James Kepshire; her sisters, Elizabeth Wozniak, Joanne Morrissette and Lorraine Heater and her daughter-in-law, Lynnette Villars.

Marge worked at US Steel, Gary during WWII, in the Chesterton School cafeterias in the 1950s and for AT&T Phone Company in the 1960s. She traveled to Europe with Al for 20 years and wintered in Phoenix for 20 years. She was an active homemaker who loved sewing, canning, camping, singing and playing the organ. She loved visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton with Pastor Craig Forewalter officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
