Louis F. Boness,
Jr., 88, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Augusta, WI, passed away Wednesday,
July 29, 2015 at Samaritan Bethany in Rochester.
Louis was born May
9, 1927, in Oak Park, IL to Louis and Irma (Grothendick) Boness.
He was a graduate
of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, IL, and went on to Wright Junior
College in Chicago and Valparaiso University, in Valparaiso, IN. Louis was a
veteran of the US Navy, proudly serving his country during WWII.
On August 28, 1948,
Louis married Eleanor L. Busse. Louis went on to obtain his MBA from the
University of Chicago. Louis and Eleanor moved to Valparaiso in 1950. Louis
worked as a teacher at Liberty Township grade school and worked as an
Information Technologist at a variety of businesses. Louis also served as an
Assistant Professor at Purdue University before retiring and moving to
Augusta, WI, in 1990. Louis and Eleanor moved to Rochester, MN in 2009.
Louis enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, canoeing, gardening and animals.
Louis is survived
by his loving wife, Eleanor; children, Louis F. (Jeannie) Boness IV, Nancy
(Mark) Boness Blume; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Louis
was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie N. Boness.
Interment will be
at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to
