Kenneth Lester Zerby dies at age 77

Kenneth Lester Zerby, 77, passed away February 18, 2015, in Estillfork, Alabama.

Kenneth was a long time resident of the Valparaiso and Chesterton areas, working at LTV steel mill as a millwright for 33 years, and as a maintenance contractor in the area.

Kenneth married Margaret Gifford in Hessville, Indiana, on March 29,1958.

Kenneth was a long-time member of the Chesterton Southern Baptist Church and Valparaiso Church of the Nazarene, member of the Shriners, Free and Accepted Masons, and a Voluntary Fireman. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Cold War.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret Zerby of Estillfork, Alabama, Sam Zerby and Pamela Kredlo-Zerby of Valparaiso, Victor Zerby of Miami, Florida, Patricia Hall-Zerby of Merrillville, and Bettye Zerby of Chesterton, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild.

Watching over his family from Heaven, Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication and devotion to both God and Family. He will be sorely missed.
