Kenneth L. Zerby dies at age 77

Kenneth Lester Zerby, 77, passed away February 18, 2015, in Estillfork, Alabama.

Kenneth was a long time resident of the Valparaiso and Chesterton areas, working at LTV steel mill as a millwright for 33 years, and as a maintenance contractor in the area.

Kenneth married Margaret Gifford in Hessville, Indiana, on March 29, 1958.

Kenneth a long time member of the Chesterton Southern Baptist Church and Valparaiso Church of the Nazarene, member of the Shriners, Free and Accepted Masons and a Volunteer Fireman.

Kenneth served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Cold War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret Zerby of Estillfork Alabama, Patricia Hall-Zerby of Merrillville, and Bettye Zerby of Chesterton, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Watching over his family from Heaven, Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication and devotion to both God and Family. He will be sorely missed.
