Former local resident Richard Gordon Casler, Sr. passed away on February 15,
2013 in Fallon, Nevada.
He was born
January 11, 1934 in Raysville Parish, Louisiana, to Gordon and Marion
Whitehead Casler.
He is survived
by his wife Beverly Casler, daughter Shawn (Jerry Brown) Casler-Brown both
of Fallon, Nev.; son Richard, Jr. (Victoria) Casler of Hudson, Fla.;
daughter Dawn (Craig) Carlson of Dayton; son Michael (Melissa) Casler of
Tenn.; daughter Catherine Arman of St. Louis, Mo.; sister Judy Hills of Rice
Lake, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Richard worked
for the Northern Indiana Public Service Company for 34 years and had lived
in Porter, Ind., for 50 years. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist
Church, American Legion and the Eagles Lodge in Fallon. He had also served
as a Boy Scout Leader. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and
sisters Jerry, Gene, John, and Sherrie Casler, and grandson Eric Von Casler.
