Charles Moore service Saturday

Charles W. Moore, age 77 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on January 2, 2013 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Ind.

He was born on April 26, 1935 to Charles William and Maude E. Moore, both whom preceded him in death.

In 1963, he married Gloria Carteaux- Moore, who survives in Chesterton, Ind.

He is also survived by two daughters, Romance Howard of Michigan City, Ind., and Judith (Dave) McCay of Exton, Penn., as well as five grandchildren; Michael, Brandi, Jennifer, Russell and Bill; eleven great-grandchildren and sister, Catherine Wolf.

He is also preceded in death by his daughter Linda Casey, grandson Patrick Casey, one brother and five sisters.

Charles worked as a Foreman at U.S. Steel for forty-three years. As a child, he attended St. Patrick Catholic Elementary school. He was a big sports fan, especially of Notre Dame, and also enjoyed baseball and bowling.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with Father James Meade officiating. Burial will follow at the Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Memorials in memory of Charles may be given to the VNA Hospice Center, 2404 Valparaiso St., Valparaiso, IN, 46383.
