Cathey Marie Tierney, age 55, of Clarksville, Tennessee died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Cathey was born June 29, 1957 in Moline, Ill. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dr. Joe Tierney; sons, Joe Tierney, Jr., Colin Tierney, Ben (Jane) Tierney all of Midland, Mich., Ross (Laura) Tierney of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Celeste Tierney and fiancé Ivan Lekic of Clarksville, Tenn.; parents, Edgar and Ola Harrell of Clarksville, Tenn.; brother, Dr. David (Nancy) Harrell of Pleasant View, Tenn.; grandson, Tucker Tierney of Midland, Mich.; granddaughter, Ruth Tierney of Franklin, Tenn.; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

She was a Shaklee Distributor for “Vital Care” and served as a ladies Bible study teacher for 25 years. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. In previous years she had been a Cosmetologist and owner/operator of The Salon in Chesterton, Indiana and the Executive Director of Caregiving Network, Inc. in Midland, Mich.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 19, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church in Joelton, Tenn., with Dr. Joe Miller and Dr. David Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tenn., with Joe Tierney, Jr., Colin Tierney, Ben Tierney, Ross Tierney, Joseph Harrell, and Joshua Harrell serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 3 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
