Former Chesterton resident, Adelle Wujcik, passed away December 17, 2012, in
Newberg Oregon, after a short illness. Adelle was born April 1922 in Chicago
to Bronislas and Angeline Pawlowski.

1941, Adelle married Jerome Wujcik, and their only child, Robert, was born
in 1943.
Adelle is
survived by her son Robert and his wife Mary, of Cloverdale, Oregon; her
grandson, Charles, and his wife Lauren, and three great-grandchildren:
Alexandria, Jackson and Collin, all of Newberg, Oregon.
Adelle grew up
in Chicago, Ill., and graduated from Bowen High School. She worked in
Chicago for many years at various office jobs.
In 1952, the
family moved to Chesterton where they resided on Calumet Road.
Jerome passed
away in 1993, but Adelle continued working in Chesterton and living in the
family home until 2002, when she moved to Oregon to be close to family. She
resided in Tillamook, Oregon and then Newberg, Oregon until she passed away
at age 90.
While she lived
in assisted living in Newberg, she enjoyed knitting baby afghans and caps
for the newborns at the Newberg Hospital.
At her request,
no services were held.
