Susan Marie Frank
Montania, age 67, passed away on November 9, 2014 after a courageous battle
with cancer.
She was born on
August 16, 1947, in Valparaiso, IN, the daughter of the late William and
Eleanor (Lorenz) Frank.
A graduate of
Liberty Township High School, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Education from Ball State University and Master of Science degree in School
Media Services from Purdue University. Susan shared her love of learning and
literature as an elementary school media specialist with the Duneland School
Corporation.
She is survived by
her children, Lisa (Chad) Gengnagel of Westville, Matthew Montania of
Valparaiso, and their father, Ronald J. Montania of Valparaiso. Those also
surviving are grandchildren, Ryan and Dean Gengnagel; brothers, John
(Loretta) Frank of Valparaiso, and William (Kay) Frank of Hanna, as well as
beloved aunt, Evelyn Brickner of Valparaiso, loving nieces, Angie Frank, Kim
Frank, Samantha Frank, Alicia (Charlie) Cooper, Annette Frank, Andrea Frank;
nephew/Godson, Kenneth Frank, great-nephew, Lucas Cooper and cherished
friends, Cristine Steele of Valparaiso, Karen Kado Huber of Wabash, and
Elmer L. Berndt of Edison, TN.
A memorial service
will be held Saturday, November 15, 2:00 p.m. at Faith Memorial Lutheran
Church, 753 N. Calumet Ave., Valparaiso, Rev. Eric Schoech officiating, with
visitation on Saturday from 1 Ð 2 p.m.
Memorials may be
given to Faith Memorial Lutheran Church or Duneland Education Foundation.
