Robert W. Linsemeyer services Friday

Robert Wesley Linsemeyer, age 82, of LaPorte, Ind., passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at his home in LaPorte, Ind.

He was born on March 22, 1931 in Michigan City, Ind., to Lloyd Carleton Linsemeyer and Ruth (Living) Linsemeyer, Both of whom preceded him in death.

He is also preceded in death by his former wife Patricia (Werdine) Linsemeyer.

Robert married Rosalie Rosolik on July 16, 1977, in Michigan City, Ind.

Robert is survived by his wife Rosalie Linsemeyer and five children, Robert (Connie) Linsemeyer, Steve Linsemeyer, Diane (Scott) Oberholtzer, Kathy Linsemeyer and Kyleen Linsemeyer. Also, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother Norm Linsemeyer and sister Elaine Dysard. He was also preceded in death by his brother Edwin Linsemeyer.

Robert was an avid golfer. He loved to spend time with friends and family and kept up with them through emails. Robert belonged to American Legion John Franklin Miller Post #37 of Michigan City, Ind., and was a past member of the Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, at 12:00 Noon, at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, Ind., with Pastor Dr. Gwendolyn Roberts, of First United Methodist Church of Michigan City, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 11, from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 12:00 Noon, at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St. Michigan City, Ind.
