Randy Rickard dies at age 65

Randy Baker Rickard, age 65, of Titusville, Fla., formerly of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013, due to complications from a fall he sustained in April.

He was born on September 12, 1947 in Corinth, Mississippi, the only son of James T. and Emma Lee Rickard, both of whom preceded him in death.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Mandy Rickard and grandson Jordan Kiner of Chesterton, Ind.; his sister, Jamie (Bill) Parsons, nephew Andrew (Cat Wood) Parsons of Indianapolis, Ind., and niece Julie (Kevin) Norton of Chicago, Ill.; special friend Cheryl English and her children Maureen, Dawn, and Steve of Titusville, Fla.; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Randy grew up in Chesterton and graduated from Chesterton High School. After high school he attended Indiana State University where he continued playing baseball. He then went on to play in numerous baseball/softball leagues. He owned Tremont Inn and worked in construction while living in Indiana as well as in Florida. He loved all sports, especially baseball. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his loved ones.

There will be no services nor visitation. Cremation arrangements are being made by North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, Fla.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.
