Phyllis A. DeLaet (nee Van Krunekelsven) age 93 of Des Plaines, Ill., passed away on September 25, 2013.

She was married to the late Edward J. DeLaet for 60 years.

She is survived by her children Thomas (fiance Jutta), Anne (James) Koller, Jean (Bruce) Daniels, of Porter, Ind., Joan (Robert) Kaatz and Fred (Carol) Koester

Also surviving are grandchildren Kelly (Bradley) Ford, Kristy Koller, Brian, Andrea Daniels, Jeff, Lindsay and Jimmy Kaatz and great-grandchildren Anna and Lillian Ford, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her sisters Julia (Fred) Koester and Hortense (Frank) Keller.

Phyllis was an alumni of Immaculata High School class of 1937, she was a member of the Rosary Alter Society at St. Stephen's Church. Her family was one of the founding families of St. Stephens Church. She was a supporter of V.F.W. Baseball in Des Plaines and Cub Scouts.

A prayer service is set for 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, Illinois. followed by a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Stephen Church, Des Plaines, Ill. Interment is planned at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
